Torver Schoolroom Bookings

The Torver Schoolroom, as the name suggests, was formerly a Church of England school established for the education of children in the Torver area.Interior of Torver Schoolroom

When the school closed the building fell into disrepair but recent renovations and modernisation by the Torver community with the support of St. Luke's church have seen a vast improvement of the Schoolroom into a building and set of facilities that the community can be proud of. This includes a warm hall with good seating, installed video projection and sound, and a very modern, catering standard kitchen.

There are several regular users and hirers of the Schoolroom including the Torver Parish Council. The Schoolroom is kept administered by a Schoolroom Committee with the permission of Coniston & Torver PCC and publishes year end accounts. For more information regarding the history of the Schoolroom, information about the Torver area, and the latest news then the best place to go to is the Torver Village Website.
